ISO Bridge Performance

Testing Environment:

  • OS : Linux CentOS release 5.5
  • Processor : Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600  @ 2.40GHz 64-bit
  • Memory : 1GB RAM

With the default Java Virtual Machine Heap Size of 128 MB

The ISO Bridge’s receiving capacity was about 12,000 Messages / Minute With an Increased Java Virtual Machine Heap Size of 512 MB

The ISO Bridge’s receiving capacity was about 100,000 Messages / Minute

Note: The average Size of the ISO Message used for testing was about 3KB

For Messages that required little processing by the banking System (Such as Completion Messages)

The bridge was able to process an average of 9,000 Messages / Minute

For Messages that required a lot of processing by the banking System (such as Authorization Messages)

The bridge was able to process an average of 300 Messages / Minute.

Leading to the conclusion that the ISO Bridge can easily handle an average of 9,000 Messages / Minute, if integrated with a high performance banking system.
